As Family, Staff and the Community
We believe
that family relationships are primary in helping persons maintain
a sense of self. We encourage the family to stay as involved
as possible. And, we support youthe familyas well as the
resident.
We believe in
aiding in the development of our staff, giving them the support
to learn, grow, and positively move forward with their careers and
lives.
We believe in
being an integral part of the Howell and Livingston County community,
supporting others, and helping to make the community a better place
to work and live.

As
Caregivers
We believe that being caregivers to a person with dementia is a privilege
and is rewarding.
We strive to
set a standard of excellence in our caregiving, our knowledge, our
physical environment, our communication,
and the way we treat all the persons we come in contact withresidents,
staff, family and the community. As caregivers,
we challenge the attitudes and values of our culture which declare
clarity of mind and economic productivity as the primary
determinate in the value of human lifebecause that excludes
people with dementia from that circle of value.
As caregivers,
we focus on the person, who they are, how they understand and experience
the world,
on the their remaining capabilities, and what they need in order
to maintain their sense of self and worth.
